Korean Tofu Recipe

Korean Tofu

Ingredients of Korean Tofu

  • 2 cup cubed tofu
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoon chopped spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 de seeded,crushed to paste red chilli
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • salt as required

How to make Korean Tofu

Step 1 Prepare the sauceIn a bowl, mix sugar, spring onions, garlic, chilli powder, red chilli paste, sesame seeds, sesame oil, water and salt. Keep the sauce aside.

Step 2 Pan fry the tofuIn a pan, heat vegetable oil on medium heat. After the oil gets heated, add the tofu and fry it in the pan from all the sides. After it becomes slightly brown, add the prepared sauce in the pan and mix the sauce with tofu.

Step 3 ServeSimmer the tofu till the time the sauce reduces and becomes a little dense. Keep turning the tofu in between so that it simmers from both sides. After it is cooked, transfer it to a bowl and serve.
